Meet the Designer - Elizabeth Walker Fenton



Elizabeth Walker-Fenton is an Interior Redesign Industry Specialist and affiliate member of the Interior Design Society.  She obtained her undergraduate degree in Interior Design from Baylor University and has been involved in a wide variety of design projects for the past 15 years.  Her work has also been featured in Yankee Magazine.

"Room for Change, Inc. evolved from my desire to make a difference in the lives of others  living here in Southwest Florida. There are several local organizations and charities that I am involved with that I wanted to be able to assist financially on a larger scale than I could with a personal gift of support. I decided I could combine my talent for Interior Decorating and Real Estate Staging with my desire to make a difference by giving 10% of all design fees to local charitable organizations in our community.  Together, we can change the world one room at a time".

Selling a home in today’s buyer’s market takes perseverance and some ingenuity. Staging—the process of cleaning, organizing, rearranging and updating a home for sale—is one of the hottest selling trends. It’s also one of the most successful, especially when done by a professional. Room for Change, Inc., a Naples-based interior decorating firm that specializes in home staging and redesign, notes that even modest staging costs and improvements can significantly boost a home’s final sales price. Owner/Designer Elizabeth Walker-Fenton says the staging trend is likely to continue as sellers work harder to attract potential homebuyers. “Staging is a win-win situation for everyone,” Walker-Fenton explains. “Staging helps buyers see each home’s unique advantages. Sellers make more money, and their homes sell faster.” Staging done by Room for Change is also a win-win situation for several area charities: Walker-Fenton donates 10 percent of all design fees to a variety of local charitable organizations.
